Recitals

Lesley-Jane’s wide-ranging recital repertoire incorporates Liedermélodies, English Song, American song, new music, as well as lighter music and show songs, and, if desired, opera and operetta arias. Whether drawing on popular favourites or beguiling unknowns (or a mixture of the two), she creates well-crafted concerts, discussing programming ideas with Festival Directors and concert promoters as appropriate.  Add to this Lesley-Jane's out-going personality and her engaging interpretative skills, and the result is a lively, visual performance, tailored to her audience.

Lesley-Jane works regularly with the award-winning pianist Jennie-Helen Moston, and their latest CD 'Of Times and Seasons' [Divine Art - DDA 25109], featuring songs and anthems by British composer Peter Lea-Cox is available to purchase from this site.

She also gives many chamber music recitals, particularly with the recorder player John Turner. John’s dedication to new music is legendary, but it is his particular interest in 20th century English music that has led to Lesley-Jane giving performances of songs by such interesting composers as Peter Crossley-Holland, Julius Harrison, Percy Young, Thomas Pitfield, Stephen Dodgson, Ian Parrott, Cyril Scott, Wilfrid Mellers, Walter Bergmann and John Joubert among others. Many of these songs and song cycles have been recorded, and in most instances are first recordings.  Labels feature Divine Art, Prima Facie, Campion Cameo and Toccata Classics.  For full details of the 30 or so CDs featuring Lesley-Jane, please visit the SHOP page of this website where you will find track listings, reviews and the facility for secure online sales.

She has also released two Artsong CDs with the pianist Christopher Ross, one of Schubert Lieder and one of English Song, also available to purchase from this website.
